Junior Church
St George's welcomes children aged 0-11 to Junior Church each Sunday at the 10.30am Parish Eucharist.
The children leave the main body of the church after the Collect and return for the Eucharistic prayer.
We use arts and crafts, reading, storytelling, song and drama to teach children the Christian faith, drawing on the Bible and the traditions of the church. At the end of the service Junior Church share some of their learning with the congregation.
Young people aged 11+ are invited to participate in the liturgy, and to take up roles serving and leading in the service.
New members of Junior Church are warmly welcomed, and you don't need to book. Children under 5 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
All Junior Church leaders are DBS checked and we the take safeguarding of all God's children seriously. If you ever have concerns about someone's safety or wellbeing please talk to the Vicar or to John Everson, our parish Safeguarding Officer.
