Our fourth annual Gore Lecture in Public Theology will be presented by Dr Selina Stone.
Dr Selina Stone is Lecturer in Theology and Ethics at the University of Edinburgh. Previously, she worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Theological Education at Durham University and a Lecturer in Theology at St Mellitus College in London. She is a writer, speaker, preacher and host of the Sunday School for Misfits Podcast. Her second book Tarry Awhile: Wisdom from Black Spirituality for People of Faith, was the Archbishop of Canterbury's Lent Book 2024.
Our annual Gore Lecture builds on the vision of the first Bishop of Birmingham, Charles Gore - who believed strongly in social justice. Our speakers will tackle challenging topics and we explore Public Theology together. There will be a time for questions after the main presentation, and the lecture will be livestreamed on our YouTube channel.
