Our annual ‘Try the Organ Day’ is the perfect opportunity for young musicians to have a go at playing the cathedral organ.
The day will be overseen by our assistant Head of Music, Ashley Wagner and other professional organists – providing the perfect introduction to this beautiful instrument. With over 3000 pipes, our organ is a powerful instrument, which is central to the worship and music of the cathedral.
While a background in playing the piano would be advantageous, there is no requirement for participants to have had formal lessons in join in. All we ask is that those taking part are aged 18 and under.
Booking is required so we know how many students we can expect. Please register your interest on our website, and we will be in touch with more information.
