The beginning of Holy Week as we walk in the footsteps of Jesus as he enters Jerusalem to the acclaim of the crowds and begins the drama of our salvation that will lead to the Cross of Good Friday and the joy of Easter. The procession begins at Malden Parochial School on Manor Drive and makes it's way to Church for the service. This traditional service tells the story of Christ's Passion in a dramatic reading with hymns and music too.

St John the Baptist, Old Malden

The ancient church of St. John the Baptist sits in the far southwestern corner of the parish of Old Malden, high above the Hogsmill River just off Church Road.  A Christian presence in this community for over a thousand years, we are a dynamic collection of people from a wide variety of backgrounds, including many different church traditions both within the Church of England and beyond.  Our worship is relaxed, traditional with music and our choral tradition a vital part.  Our theology is open and inclusive, viewing the wealth of Scripture through the lens of the love of Jesus Christ.  We seek to be a spiritual home for all ages and to nurture each individual's own unique journey of faith.  Everyone is welcome here!
