About Us
St Barnabas Church is set high up on the hill on the eastern side of Keighley. It serves the Victorian settlement of Thwaites Brow and the modern community of Long Lee. The current building is just over 50 years old and has a homely intimate feel. It is named after the disciple Barnabas, whose name literally means 'son of encouragement'. Whether you are coming to use the community hall or you are joining us for one of our worship services, we hope that it is a place that gives encouragement.
The Bible says when we lift our eyes to the hills we come to realise that God is our help and our place of safety. Whether you want to baptise your child, visit our playgroup or experience the closeness of God's presence at our healing service, you are welcome. We hope you will find God's presence, His comfort and his safety.
Every 1st Wednesday of the month we have an After School Messy Church. This includes crafts, action songs, a Bible story and is followed by a picnic tea. Our next Messy Church is on Wednesday 7th February at 3:15pm.
