We welcomed Cliff Andrade (left in the picture) on the latest leg of his journey from John O'Groats to Lands End.
Cliff is doing a sponsored walk in aid of Cancer charity, and to maximise the money he is able to raise he has been asking churches along the route if they could allow him to camp or free in their churchyards and use their facilities.
Cliff, accompanied by two of his friends, arrived at Thornton on Monday 25th July around 9pm after a very long walk on a very hot day. Cliff comes from the Lincoln Diocese where the Bishop of Lincoln has been supporting his efforts.
The three Walkers were up early on Tuesday morning to set off to Hebden Bridge. We wish them well on their pilgrimage!
