On Wednesday and Saturday evenings volunteers take out hot food (meat and vegetarian) for about 150 people. The majority are sleeping rough and remainder either sofa surfing or in temporary accommodation with no food. They are also provided with hot drinks and a pack up with food and drink to help them until the following evening when another charity does the outreach.
A variety of items are collected in a basket at the back of church. Items can include, dried and tinned food items, small snack bars, crisps, warm clothing, sleeping bags, blankets and even tents. A team from St Peter's deliver the items to the Horsforth depot where a dedicated team ensure everything is put to good use to support the many hidden homeless individuals and families in inner city Leeds.
