Our very own St Peter's Church, Marton was featured in BBCs Canal Boat Diaries (Series 3 episode 2) last night. The episode talked about the canal navvies who worked on the construction of the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, some of who died of Small Pox and are believed to be buried in the Churchyard.
