Partners & Friends

St John's Ingrow is part of the wider church and community in Keighley and the Aire & Worth Valley.   We are renewing former friendships with a range of projects and organisations that are working to support and encourage the life of our area:

Keighley and Worth Valley Railway
Members of our team help with events such as 'The Carol Train' (https://kwvr.co.uk/event/2018-carol-service-train-2/) and support other events throughout the year.  Only a hundred yards from the railway, St John's Church is an important local heritage location (Grade II listed church with stunning apse).

Scouts & Guides
We really value our local uniformed organisations and have a special service on the second Sunday of each month that welcomes our local Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Rainbows, Brownies and Guides.  The young people and their leaders also take an active part in our remembrance and Christmas services.  https://keighleyscouts.org.uk/index.php and http://wynguiding.org.uk/wyguides/

Local Schools
It has been a great joy to welcome onto the St John's site the pupils, staff and families of both Ingrow Primary School and Worth Valley Primary School over the last year.  They came for Christmas and Easter events and some pupils came to look at evergreen and deciduous plants and trees.  We look forward to strengthening our links with them.

Parish of Keighley, including Keighley Shared Church; St Barnabas, Thwaites Brow; All Saints, Highfield; and St Mark's, Utley:

Keighley Churches Together
Churches from across Keighley are working and praying together for God to bless Keighley and the Aire & Worth Valley.
St John's is an increasingly active member: https://www.cte.org.uk/Groups/42314/Home.aspx

Keighley & District Local History Society
We have been very blessed to run sessions in conjunction with K&DLHS which have given the opportunity for people to share their stories (see page: 'Grave Records & Family History').
