Address by Fr Kenneth Crawford followed by Tenebrae.
This is a beautiful service of readings and music for Holy Week, inspired by the ancient office of Tenebrae. A distinctive feature of the service is the use of candles, which are slowly extinguished as Jesus moves towards the Cross. This year the readings are sonnets for the stations of the cross by Malcolm Guite, from 'Sounding the Seasons.' Music is Bairstow's 'Lamentations' and two of Victoria's responsories for Tenebrae.
