About Us
St John's is a friendly, welcoming and buzzing church for people of all ages and backgrounds. Our building is situated just off Great Horton Road in Bradford, only a mile up the hill from the University. We're next to Tesco's!
We usually have two services on a Sunday.
At 9am A service of Holy Communion (called "Living Water") and this is followed by a service of "Informal Worship" at 10.30am. The "Informal Worship" Service includes groups for children and young people up to 13 years of age and there are refreshments after both services. We have lunch together after the 10.30am service every week.
There is a youth group, called "Alive in Christ" for young people of secondary school age which meets every Saturday evening.
There is a prayer meeting throughout the week at 9.00am, and we also meet for a mid week Holy Communion service on a Wednesday at 12noon. Many members of the church also meet in small groups throughout the week - please contact the vicar for further details of the small groups (Connect Groups).
St John's is home to a thriving Pre-school, based at the Great Horton Community Hub on Beldon Road (BD7 3PE) which provides nursery care throughout the year.
The Red Letter Project is our community charity which runs various activities; including our FoodSavers Community Marketplace; a lunch club; a craft group; a stay & play session as well s running the Community Library.
