For many people this is their favourite service in the build-up to Christmas. Join us in church, bathed in the light of hundreds of candles, for a traditional service of carols and readings as we listen again the story of the first Christmas.

It can be hard to find moments of calm to relax and enjoy space to reflect on what Christmas really means when December is so hectic, but this service is your opportunity to do just that.

St John's Church in Farsley is a diverse, lively, energetic and enthusiastic congregation, committed to caring for the spiritual, pastoral and social growth of its people, with a strong presence in our community. 

We aim to serve all God’s children in worship, pastoral care and everyday life, offering a caring and nurturing environment for all to get to grow in the love of Christ. As we spread the good news of Christ through evangelism and good discipleship, we are always looking to invite new people into church as well as reaching out into our community and serving those in our neighbourhood.
