Start your day with a short, traditional service of Holy Communion. We sit together in the choir stalls for this service without hymns which uses the modern language from Common Worship.

A lively service with hymns which will appeal to people of all ages and chance to catch up with other members of the congregation with a coffee after the service.
Some Sundays the service is Holy Communion. Other Sundays it is A Service Of The Word. During our vacancy period, without our own vicar, the pattern of services varies depending on which visiting Priests are available to cover the service.

Children are welcome at all our services but particularly at 10:30am on a Sunday morning when we have special children's groups. After starting off in together in church, the young people will go to the church hall to enjoy songs, stories and crafts before returning to share with the rest of the congregation what they have learnt.

Come to church from the comfort of your own sofa! Every Sunday we share a short service of Online Worship which you can watch at home. In 20 minutes there is a reading, a short sermon, a blessing and some music to enjoy. There's a new service available every Sunday evening from 6:30pm but you're free to watch it at any time that works for you! We hope the service is a real blessing to you.

On the first Sunday of each month we celebrate Holy Communion using the traditional words found in the Book of Common Prayer. We sit together in the choir stalls for this short service without hymns and enjoy hearing the old fashioned langugage which many of us grew up with.

Our countdown to Christmas starts on Advent Sunday when we are holding our very special Toy Service. We will be collecting donations of new toys which can be gifted to families who are facing a difficult Christmas.

We are working with a local charity who collect toys (only new toys - no second hand or regifted items please) to donate to families. Please bring items unwrapped so they can be sorted and given to the most appropriate recipients.

Members of our Parochial Church Council are invited to the monthly PCC meeting to discuss upcoming church services and events.

For many people this is their favourite service in the build-up to Christmas. Join us in church, bathed in the light of hundreds of candles, for a traditional service of carols and readings as we listen again to the story of the first Christmas.

It can be hard to find moments of calm to relax and enjoy space to reflect on what Christmas really means when December is so hectic, but this service is your opportunity to do just that.

Young and old are most welcome to dress up as a favourite character from the Christmas story. We have space for as many Marys, Josephs and shepherds as you can bring!

And we will have real donkeys in church and available afterwards for donkey rides.

Learn about why we a candle in an orange and what the red ribbon and sweets all represent. It's a special service we all remember from childhood and it's just as magical passing that tradition on to others.

As well as this service there is another at 5pm which can sometimes be quieter.

On this most holy of nights, celebrate the joy of Christmas with us at this special Midnight Communion.

The church will be illuminated by candlelight as we sing carols and celebrate the birth of Jesus together.

Our new Priest-in-charge, Rev Nathanael Poole, will be licensed at a special service taking place at St John's Church. We hope to welcome as many people from both Farsley and Rodley to meet our new vicar and mark the start of his ministry with us.
