Holy Trinity is a parish church for the community of Coalbrookdale, in the Telford Severn Gorge. Come and see the history of the church and the internal architecture relating back to Abraham Darby IV (whose grave is situated in the back churchyard) and browse through the detailed signage produced by the Museum of Iron. We have recently undergone refurbishment with the change over from an oil boiler to under pew heating.
View the chancel ceiling in gold leaf, the individual pew carvings, the pulpit and, as you look up, you'll see heads of the Bishop and Queen (at that time) and others carved by the stone mason - there is so much to view in this historic church. Come and see more.
HOWEVER - WE ARE PRESENTLY EXPERIENCING A HEALTH AND SAFETY ISSUE REGARDING OUR MUCH LOVED ORGAN. SCAFFOLDING NEEDS TO BE ERECTED AND IT WILL IMPEDE THE SAFETY OF VISITORS. THEREFORE THE MAIN ENTRANCE IS LOCKED AND WE ADVISE NO VISITORS UNTIL THIS CAN BE SOLVED. IT IS HOPED THAT NORMAL SERVICES WILL CONTINUE VIA A SIDE ENTRANCE INTO THE CHURCH.
You can be sure of a warm welcome should you wish to come to any of our services. Please view our website: - coalironlitt.co.uk for information on the 'Services' page and click 'Service Diary'.
