About Us

St Mark's welcomes all those who live in the parish and further afield to its services and other activites. We are a church of broadly central Anglican tradition, worshipping mainly in a liturgical way, but with a nice degree of informality. We have a choir for the main (9.30am) service most Sundays,  with a professional choir director, and children's activities nearly every week. We warmly invite visitors and newcomers to join us for (fairtrade, real) coffee after the main service in the nearby Church Hall.

As well as Sunday services, we also have worship mid-week (traditional and Messy Church), and  a number of study groups, as well as hosting many education classes and social activities in the nearby community centre.

We have a strong tradition of hosting arts events (mainly drama and film) in the church, and see it as part of our vocation in sharing the good news of Jesus.
