A joyful and uplifting concert at St Mary's Church North Mymms. The KCO is returning and their theme this year is "Christmas Journey"

An eclectic mix of music from many genres will turn our thoughts to Christmas through laughter and tears as we discover together what Christmas is really about. This year we will bring folk music from several countries, ranging from the toe-tapping variety to the most heartfelt. A Christmas medley and Elgar’s masterpiece: Introduction and Allegro will frame our evening programme with surprises and delights throughout. After 39 years we have become quite ambitious looking to see the Peace of Christmas found in a world that needs it more radically today than at any time we can remember…

A one-hour service for all ages, where we re-tell the story of the first nativity through singing, and acting out the main parts of the story of Jesus’ birth. We have a selection of children’s costumes to choose from if you don’t have your own.

The service comprises hymns and carols about Christmas and readings from the gospels telling the Christmas story. The church is mostly lit with many candles and is a wonderful way to enter into the joy of the Christmas story.

This service is the time when many people gather on Christmas Eve as we wait in joyful hope for the coming of the Saviour, Jesus. As we approach midnight, we light the final candle on the Advent candle stand and think of Jesus coming to us as the Light of the World.

A short service where we truly celebrate the best gift imaginable, when Jesus came to live among us. We will worship him through singing and joining together to thank him for his presence in our world and lives.
