On Wednesday 26th March 2025 the great planting of the West edge of the Site. We received hundreds of native saplings to replace the overgrown area behind the Edible Ebbsfleet raised beds.Members of the church and local community all stepped in to help plant them. We can't wait to watch them grow and see all that they produce and give homes to.
We had lots of bikes brought along that needed a bit of TLC and after Revd Bart and Adrian looked at them and gave them they love they needed, the owners took them away happy and confident to ride them again. This session will run on the third Saturday of the month throughout Spring and Summer alongside our Coffee and Craft morning. If your bike is in need of a little bit of work bring it along and our guys will see what they can do.
We are really excited to share with you all our events for this year from raffles to a Christmas Market, and a few in between.Make a note of the dates and watch our Events at the Church for more information closer to each date.
Early in 2024, we registered with the Eco Church scheme and completed the Eco survey to better understand what we are doing well already and where we can improve further. With a few quick wins, we were able to achieve the Bronze Award in April. Hopefully you have seen the further improvements across the 5 areas of 1. Worship + Teaching – Creation services, prayers2. Buildings - Energy conservation / usage, recycling3. Land – Land management , wild flowers and mowing policy, bird boxes / bird feeders4. Community & Global Engagement – Repair Café / litter pick on prayer walks5. Lifestyle – Fairtrade Church By taking these actions we have now been awarded a Silver Award In September 2024. This is an amazing achievement but we are keen to take even better care of nature and engage with the whole community to raise awareness. We welcome help from any members of the congregation or wider community to join us on the journey. https://ecochurch.arocha.org.uk/
