Agape meal with Holy Communion and vigil

Occurring
for 2 hours, 30 mins
Venue
Kidbrooke, St Nicholas
Address
Whetstone Road Kidbrooke London, SE3 8PX, United Kingdom

On Maundy Thursday, we traditionally meet in the church hall for a celebration of Holy Communion in the context of a simple meal of soup, bread and fruit. While the service includes the normal readings, prayers and Eucharistic Prayer, the meal is relaxed and informal. At the end, we move into the church for the stripping of the sanctuary, in which all ornament is removed and the sanctuary lamp extinguished, to be re-lit on Easter Day.

You are then welcome to remain in the darkened church for a time of silent reflection. The church normally remains open until 10.00.

Please let us know if you would like to join us at the Agape.
