Volunteers needed for Greenwich Foodbank

Notices Community_news

Hello! I hope you're enjoying this wonderful weather! My name is Emma Lewington and I'm the Volunteering Lead at Greenwich Foodbank. Firstly, thank you so much for your continued support of Greenwich Foodbank. Your generous food donations make a real and lasting impact for families in crisis across our borough – we’re truly grateful. Right now, we’re reaching out to ask for your help with another urgent need. We are currently looking to expand our volunteer base and we’d be so grateful if you could share our volunteering opportunities with your congregation. We have many roles available, including receptionist and warehouse support but most crucially we are incredibly low on drivers – and without them, we simply can’t get food where it’s needed most. We’re looking to recruit new drivers to help us keep moving. Here’s a short video from our leader Jamie Ginns that captures what it’s all about: https://youtube.com/shorts/75WPFubSQ6o?feature=shared Volunteer Drivers Needed – Help Keep Greenwich Foodbank Moving! We’re looking for confident drivers (aged 25+) with a clean driving license to help transport food supplies across Greenwich in our Luton and Transit vans. Training and full support is provided, and it’s a great way to serve the community in a very practical and meaningful way. Would you be willing to share our volunteer / driver appeal in your next newsletter, service, or notice board? Anyone interested can contact us at [email protected] – we’d love to hear from them! Thank you again for standing with us. If you have any questions or would like printed materials to share in person, just let me know. Many thanks, Emma
