Wickford Salvation Army Band & Choir in concert
Sunday 17 March, 3.30 pm
St Andrew’s Church, 11 London Road, Wickford SS12 0AN

The Salvation Amy started its mission in the Quart Pot, Runwell, in 1893, moving to its brand new building in Jersey Gardens, Wickford 99 years ago! Music has always been an important part of Salvation Army worship. Both inside and outside their church building. In 1899, it is reported that the playing of the band caused riots outside the Swan Public House! Today the band and choir continue to contribute to Sunday services, whilst the band likes to play in town at Christmas and Easter time to share the good news about Jesus.

This concert is a fundraiser for St Andrew’s Church.
No tickets required. Donations requested on the day.
