Eva Romanakova

When I was around 8 years old, I remember showing my teacher a drawing of what I would like to be when I grow up. It was a lady on the stage with a microphone, at that time it was just a distant dream that one day I could be that lady!!!

My singing journey started when I was around 10 years old after I became inspired by my friend with a beautiful voice. Now, I am a classically trained soprano and I love singing a wide genre of music; Musical Theatre, Arias, Pop, Jazz, Movie Songs and also Folk.

I have performed at a wide range of events, from weddings to care homes, festivals and open mic events. I am pleased to have won competitions during my time singing in the UK.

I studied at a musical gymnasium in the Czech Republic then carried on my music studies in the UK where I undertook a course with Morley College in London focusing on Opera and attended Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London. Additonally, I performed across Europe in a Czech Republic choir and then carried this on as part of the local Essex choirs, where I also had the amazing opportunity to sing solos.

Furthermore, In 2022, I performed with the Basildon Operatic Society in the ‘Me and My Girl’ show at the Towngate Theatre. I also run local singing sessions for wellbeing.

I am so passionate about singing and I am thrilled to have this opportunity to sing at St. Andrews in Wickford. I will be singing music from various countries and different times and I am extremely lucky to be accompanied by the fantastic pianist Andrew Palmer, who will play some lovely pieces too.
