10am - Every 2nd & 4th Sunday

Please join us on 10th November 2024 for our All Age Parade Service, at the usual time of 10am.
There is no need to book, all are welcome, so please just come along and join us for this special service to pause, reflect and remember.

We run a pop-up café each Thursday in the centre attached to the church, all are most welcome to come along. You'll find a friendly atmosphere, a small selection of toys for our younger customers and some delicious food and drinks!
Our café is open from 9am to 1pm. Take away available

This November we will be showing a Family Christmas Film; The Christmas Chronicles 2. Refreshments (hot dogs, popcorn etc.) & soft drinks are provided, please feel free to bring your own beer/wine, etc.
Suggested donation £5 per person, if you would like to attend please add your name to the sign-up sheet at the back of the church.

10am - Every 1st & 3rd Sunday

KidZone, or Sunday school, meets on the third, fourth and fifth Sundays of each month. Children stay with their parent or grown-up at the start of the service as we worship (sing songs) together for the first part of the morning. During the service it will be announced that it’s time for the younger members to go off to their own children's ministry should they wish to, which here at Christ Church we call KidZone. All visitor's children are welcome to use KidZone.

The KidZone activities vary depending on the age of our younger members but usually there is a friendly welcome, bible stories, testimonies, praying, music, craft, drama and fun games. Please see our age ranges below for more detail on what to expect.

Age 0 to approx. 3 years - Children who are not yet independent are welcome to join in, with an accompanying adult. Alternatively there are toy bags to borrow in church.

Age 3 to 12 - We meet in two age groups: roughly 3-6 and 7-12. The aim of Kidzone is to help children to grow in their love for God and in their friendships with each other. We do this using bible stories, games, discussion, prayer and crafts; and some free play for younger children. Sometimes we learn songs or drama.

Age 11 to 18 - The church service itself is very appropriate for older children. Many teens serve in the church in a variety of ways. When possible we hold a youth group with teaching, discussion and games.

Family discipleship - We recognise that the majority of discipleship happens within Christian families. Do talk to other families about your experiences. There is no church of the future except for our young people, and so together we will prayerfully hand on the baton.

Our aim is to make sure every child can be themselves in a safe and welcoming environment. Our KidZone leaders are all DBS checked and have safeguarding training.
