Come and join us tomorrow, 30 August, at 10.00 a.m. for Morning Prayer and Holy Rosary on the eve of the feast of St Aidan of Lindisfarne. St Aidan was sent from Ireland in 635 AD to evangelise the northern Northumbrians, following the return after exile of King Oswald. Oswald gave Aidan Lindisfarne as a centre for his evangelism, and it became a powerhouse of spirituality under his energetic leadership. Aidan died in 651 AD following the sacking of Bamburgh by a Mercian leader, Penda and the death of Oswin, successor to Oswald. His founding of monasteries, churches, liberating and training of Anglo-Saxon slave boys into the Church, and encouragement of spiritual practices amongst the laity meant that his legacy was long-lasting.

We're saying prayers that the livestream connection does not fragment as last week! All are welcome!

St Michael and all Angels' is a friendly multicultural church located in the heart of Walthamstow, very close to the vibrant high street.

We are currently in interregnum at St Michael's but are looking forward to our new full-time priest very, very soon.

We would like to thank Fr. Alex Summers and his family for their hard work and for bringing the community together in the 6 years they were with us.

Please pop in and join us at one of our services. You can also follow us on Facebook and Instagram @stmichaelstow.
