Come and join us for our Parish Mass at 10.30 a.m. tomorrow, the feast of Pentecost, either on the live stream or in person. The descent of the Holy Spirit on the disciples in Jerusalem is one of the most extraordinary events in the New Testament. Suddenly there is a rushing wind, flames appear dancing over their heads and the disciples are speaking in umpteen languages (not their own) proclaiming the wonderful works of God. The God-fearing Jews who have gathered in Jerusalem for the great feast (Pentecost means 50 days - after the Passover) hear these proclamations perfectly in their own language without need for any interpreters! The Gospel describes the locked room where the disciples had hidden themselves away - Jesus suddenly appears and breathes on them with the Holy Spirit, and reading between the lines tells the disciples to get out of the locked room and get working. The Spirit does not respect locked rooms or fear of others; it tells us now to go out fearlessly and proclaim our faith.

St Michael & All Angels

St Michael and all Angels' is a friendly multicultural church located in the heart of Walthamstow, very close to the vibrant high street.

We are currently in interregnum at St Michael's but are looking forward to our new full-time priest very, very soon.

We would like to thank Fr. Alex Summers and his family for their hard work and for bringing the community together in the 6 years they were with us.

Please pop in and join us at one of our services. You can also follow us on Facebook and Instagram @stmichaelstow.

God Bless
