Come and join us tomorrow 1 March for our Morning Prayer and Holy Rosary celebrating in our prayers and readings the great Dewi Sant, patron of Wales for the past 900 years and the only Welsh saint canonised and culted in the Western Church as a whole. It is believed that his original monastery, inherited from his father, was Henllan from where he moved to Menevia (St David's in Dyfed where the cathedral is built on the foundations of the old monastery). It is also thought that he travelled to Brittany and Cornwall after the plague of 547 AD (St Teilio also went to Brittany after that plague and it is believed that David, Teilio and Gildas may have been companions on that journey). Glastonbury Abbey claimed David as their patron, he was said to have visited the Abbey to rededicate it and extend it, and archaeological remains corresponding to the dimensions of the extension were excavated in 1921, and correspond exactly to the dimensions recorded by William of Malmesbury. All are welcome to join us either on the livestream or in person at 10.00 a.m.! Dydd Gwyl Dewi hapus!

St Michael and all Angels' is a friendly multicultural church located in the heart of Walthamstow, very close to the vibrant high street.

We are currently in interregnum at St Michael's but are looking forward to our new full-time priest very, very soon.

We would like to thank Fr. Alex Summers and his family for their hard work and for bringing the community together in the 6 years they were with us.

Please pop in and join us at one of our services. You can also follow us on Facebook and Instagram @stmichaelstow.

God Bless
