Tomorrow 22 February is Ash Wednesday: Come and join us at 12.00 mid-day for our solemn Mass with the Imposition of Ashes to make a good start to the penitential season of Lent. Isaiah tells us to rend our hearts and not our garments (in the Jewish tradition there was a ritual tearing of clothes at times of penitence); in the Gospel Jesus tells us not to be ostentatious in our penitential actions but to pray, do good deeds and fast in secret so that only God can see us.

Have a happy and holy Lent!

St Michael & All Angels

St Michael and all Angels' is a friendly multicultural church located in the heart of Walthamstow, very close to the vibrant high street.

We are currently in interregnum at St Michael's but are looking forward to our new full-time priest very, very soon.

We would like to thank Fr. Alex Summers and his family for their hard work and for bringing the community together in the 6 years they were with us.

Please pop in and join us at one of our services. You can also follow us on Facebook and Instagram @stmichaelstow.

God Bless
