Come and join us at the Parish Mass to celebrate the naming of Our Lord (as directed by the Angel at the Annunciation to Our Lady). As the child of devout Jewish parents, Jesus was named and circumcised according to Jewish law ('I came to fulfil the Law, not to destroy it'). The fact that God chose to send his Son, the Word made flesh, to live as a Jew with Jewish parents makes the terrible stain of anti-Semitism even more completely anti-Christian. If it was good enough for the Word made flesh to be born into a Jewish family, it is good enough for every single Christian on the planet. Let us reflect on this fact tomorrow at our Parish Mass as we celebrate Our Lord's naming and circumcision.

St Michael & All Angels

St Michael and all Angels' is a friendly multicultural church located in the heart of Walthamstow, very close to the vibrant high street.

We are currently in interregnum at St Michael's but are looking forward to our new full-time priest very, very soon.

We would like to thank Fr. Alex Summers and his family for their hard work and for bringing the community together in the 6 years they were with us.

Please pop in and join us at one of our services. You can also follow us on Facebook and Instagram @stmichaelstow.

God Bless
