The fourth Sunday of Easter is always called 'Good Shepherd Sunday' because of the psalm set (Psalm 23: The Lord is my Shepherd) and the Gospel (John 10: 11-18): 'I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep'. The whole context is of laying down one's life for others as indicated in the second reading 1 John: 16-24: '... Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.' This does not necessarily mean physical martyrdom, but it does mean thinking of others, helping all sorts and conditions of people, and giving up time and effort to help those in need. Come and join us to celebrate Good Shepherd Sunday either in person or on the livestream!

St Michael & All Angels

St Michael and all Angels' is a friendly multicultural church located in the heart of Walthamstow, very close to the vibrant high street.

We are currently in interregnum at St Michael's but are looking forward to our new full-time priest very, very soon.

We would like to thank Fr. Alex Summers and his family for their hard work and for bringing the community together in the 6 years they were with us.

Please pop in and join us at one of our services. You can also follow us on Facebook and Instagram @stmichaelstow.

God Bless
