Come and join us tomorrow 20 March either in person or on the livestream as we celebrate the feast of St Cuthbert of Lindisfarne at our Morning Prayer and Holy Rosary at 10.00 a.m. St Cuthbert was born around 634 AD, became prior of Melrose Abbey and after the Synod of Whitby (663-4) he became prior of Lindisfarne. He was highly repected, and was reputed to have gifts of prophecy and healing. His body is buried in Durham Cathedral where to this day you can visit his shrine.

We will also be remembering with gratitude our great benefactor Charles George Talmage FRAS, who inspired the building of St Michael's Church in 1885. He was a parishioner at St James's Church in Walthamstow, and because the congregation became too large for the building, he persuaded Richard Foster, another great benefactor, to start building St Michael's. He is commemorated in six very fine stained glass windows. Honour to his memory!

St Michael and all Angels' is a friendly multicultural church located in the heart of Walthamstow, very close to the vibrant high street.

We are currently in interregnum at St Michael's but are looking forward to our new full-time priest very, very soon.

We would like to thank Fr. Alex Summers and his family for their hard work and for bringing the community together in the 6 years they were with us.

Please pop in and join us at one of our services. You can also follow us on Facebook and Instagram @stmichaelstow.
