Come and join us for Morning Prayer and Holy Rosary tomorrow, 3 January at 10.00 a.m. as we celebrate the feast day of St Geneviève, patron saint of Paris. She was born in Nanterre of Gaulish parents, became a nun at the age of 15 and was supported by St Germanus of Auxerre who had known her from childhood. She was said to have persuaded all the women of Paris to say a prayer marathon in order to keep the Frankish king Childeric away from the city, and achieved the same feat in diverting Attila and his Huns from Paris, which was spared. The church of Ss Peter and Paul was built by the king Clovis (his wife Clothilde had converted to Christianity) to house Geneviève's relics, but the church decayed and at the Revolution the Pantheon was built over the site.

St Michael & All Angels

St Michael and all Angels' is a friendly multicultural church located in the heart of Walthamstow, very close to the vibrant high street.

We are currently in interregnum at St Michael's but are looking forward to our new full-time priest very, very soon.

We would like to thank Fr. Alex Summers and his family for their hard work and for bringing the community together in the 6 years they were with us.

Please pop in and join us at one of our services. You can also follow us on Facebook and Instagram @stmichaelstow.

God Bless
