This beautiful, largely 15th century, church is set in the cornfields near the village and has a distinctive early 16th century tower built mainly of Tudor brick. In the nave there are the remains of some 15th century wall paintings one of which depicts a timber frame house believed to be the nearby Tilbury Hall.
The church serves a parish of c120 people and is one of five in the Upper Colne Benefice the centre of which is Great Yeldham.
