View team ministry homepageChristians have worshiped at Debden Church for over 800 years and Debden Church is still the living thriving centre of Christian worship at the spiritual heart of the village community. A regular congregation of all ages meets for worship on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month at 9 am and alternates with our neighbouring Parish of Wimbish. We are part of the Saffron Walden and Villages Team Ministry in the Diocese of Chelmsford. Major festivals and special services may be at different times. Debden C of E Primary Academy holds regular services in the church. Details of all services and events are updated regularly.

Ashdon is a village on the Essex/Cambridgeshire border four miles north-east of the town of Saffron Walden, and All Saints Church has been serving the village community for more than 600 years.
All the family are most welcome at any of our services,. Our services are on the second and fourth Sundays with services at 9.00 am, followed by refreshments in the Church Rooms. On the first and third Sundays, there is a service at St Botolphs in the neighbouring village of Hadstock, also at 9.00am. We serve refreshments in the Church Rooms AFTER services on the second and fourth Sundays of the month, with a shared breakfast from 8.00am BEFORE our service on the fourth Sunday – all are welcome.
The building is open daily for private prayer or reflexion and as a place of sanctuary, continuing to be available for the community as it has been for so many years.

We are a small but very friendly congregation that spans all age groups with a warmth for our community and for all who visit us.
Our services are informal, and we provide children’s activities at the back of the Church during our services and refreshments afterwards, all are welcome to stay and chat.
We are committed to safeguarding children and young people and vulnerable adults. The PCC has adopted the Church of England’s policies and best practice on safeguarding. We are involved in a number of community events including: A series of summer walks around the local area, Harvest Festival celebrations, Christmas Candle, Nativity and Carol services.
St John's Church, Little Walden, was built in 1894 by Edmund Birch Gibson, a prominent Quaker. The Church was originally built to serve the Quaker estate workers but in 1910 it was donated to the Church of England to mark his golden wedding anniversary to his wife Mary.

St Mary's is the Anglican parish church in the historic market town of Saffron Walden in north west Essex. Committed to the welcome and safeguarding of all, we are a community of all ages and backgrounds who worship God in a wide range of services. Our mission is to share God's love and to invite everyone to follow Jesus Christ with us. Ours is a beautiful church where the Christian faith has been celebrated for over 800 years, and which has a strong musical tradition and a large robed choir. We are one of the 12 churches within the Saffron Walden and Villages Team Ministry.
Our church is open every day of the year from around 10am until about 4pm.
