Finding God in All Things

Occuring
Every Saturday at for 2 hours
Venue
St. Nicholas, Rawreth
Address
Church Rd, Rawreth, Wickford., SS11 8SH, United Kingdom

On Saturday morning in Lent Richard and Elizabeth Jordan will be leading prayer, reflection and participation on the theme of ‘Finding God in all Things.’ We will look at the very ordinary parts of our lives to see where God finds us and how we can be closer to Him.
Each meeting will begin with prayer, a bit of input and some activity. We’ll be at St Nicholas, Rawreth and the sessions begin at 10.00am and will finish by 12 midday. They will be independent of each other so you can dip in and out as suits you.

The subjects are:
25th February: Finding God in Pictures
4th March: Finding God in The World around us
18th March: Finding God in Society
25th March: Finding God in Our Homes (and Gardens)
1st April: Finding God in Writing:, e.g. Letters, Texts and Posts.
We look forward to seeing you then.

St. Nicholas, Rawreth

We are a small rural Church of England church between Chelmsford, Basildon and Southend-on-Sea.

If you are in the area why not call in for a time of quiet and reflection in a beautiful setting? We keep the church open as much as we can during daylight hours but if you are making a special visit and want to be sure, please get in touch to check.

We would love to see you at any of our services. We meet for Sunday Worship at 10.00 a.m. This usually lasts for just under an hour and is followed by tea, coffee or squash and biscuits, or, on special occasions, cake!

Our main service on a Sunday is usually the Parish Eucharist, but once a month, on the 1st Sunday, it is a form of Morning Worship.

We also have short services of Morning Prayer on weekdays, currently Monday and Thursday at 8 a.m. You would be really welcome to join us but if you do plan to come along it may be worth getting in touch first, there are only a few who attend and it may just be that diary clashes coincide so that none of the regulars can attend.

St. Nicholas is also a great place for Weddings, Christenings (sometimes called Baptisms) and Funerals. More information is on our Christenings, Weddings and Funerals page, but if you have any questions at all please do get in touch
