Getting here
All Saints Church, Purleigh is in a prominent position at the top of a hill, overlooking the village of Purleigh. The church was completely rebuilt in the early 14th century and there are no certain traces remaining of the earlier building. The church is now classified as a Grade 1 listed building and is in very good condition. A recent addition to the church has been a new central heating system, very welcome in winter!
All Saints Church has a rich history. One previous incumbent of the church was Laurence Washington, Rector of All Saints from 1635 to 1645. He was George Washington's great great grandfather.
You can be assured of a very warm welcome at our church.
