Awayday for the benefice

Occuring
for 5 hours
Venue
St Mary the Virgin, Newport, Essex.
Address
Church Street Newport Saffron Walden, CB11 3RA, United Kingdom

An away day for the whole benefice is being planned for Sunday 14th July and it will take place near the Audley End estate who have kindly offered us the use of an area that we think will be suitable, weather permitting for on open air service at 11am followed by a picnic lunch and an afternoon of being together. People can sit and enjoy the surroundings, join in with a game of rounders, join in with a guided tour of the estate by its manager, and any other fun items we can bring to share. There will be parking but nearer the day we will look to arrange shared transport so we minimise the amount of vehicles needed. People will need to bring their own lunches, blankets, folding chairs, gazebo's etc and any other items they think they may need. We are getting 2 x portaloos in place. I would envisage our time there would take us to the by mid/late afternoon, if the weather is on our side and people are enjoying themselves. Please email us for more details.

St Mary the Virgin, Newport, Essex.

Welcome to St Mary the Virgin Church, Newport, Essex. No one belongs here more than you. It is our mission to glorify God by serving the community. Following the example of Jesus, and seeking to model the inclusive love of God, we welcome all people whatever your status, wealth, gender, ethnicity, sexuality, age, health or mobility.

We believe that a church must first be a safe place in which to explore and to fail; where questions are encouraged and everyone is welcome. It would be lovely to see you at one of our services.  There is always a lot going on at Newport church, something for everyone. We are part of a benefice including Widdington, Quendon and Rickling.
