Remembrance Sunday is a national opportunity to remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life.

We remember the Armed Forces, and their families, from Britain and the Commonwealth, the vital role played by the emergency services and those who have lost their lives as a result of conflict or terrorism.

We will start the service in the Churchyard, with a bell peal for each person who gave their lives in service. We will then move into the Church for the service.

We warmly invite you to this sung service.

If you would like to see what we do and feel that you might be interested in learning to ring, just turn up any Tuesday evening at St Mary’s, Kelvedon, between 7.30pm and 9.00pm and we will be pleased to talk to you about it.

A short service (20 minutes approx.) at 9.30 am every Wednesday morning in term time, with a story, prayers and singing, followed by refreshments and play with simple crafts.

All pre-school children and their parents or carers are very welcome, we look forward to seeing you.

Introducing our Junior Christian Club. Ideal for young people between the School Years 6 and 9.

It’s a small but very friendly group of young people who “enjoy biscuits, cake, juice and tea and join together for fun games and conversations about faith, about Jesus and about our lives today”.

Simon and Natasha invite anyone to join them for their regular Morning Prayer in church every week on Thursday mornings at 8.30 a.m. for about half an hour.

The opening night of the Christmas Tree Festival has a new look. This is now a paying event and we’ll be very well entertained by the excellent local community choir, THE BIG SING. Ben Garwood and Jan Bellman sing with this choir, so do come and support them.

There will be delicious mulled wine and mince pies as usual.

Join us for our Teddy Bear Club Christmas Party where there will be games, party snacks and lots of fun. Meet some of our current Teddy Bear Club members and find out what we do at our weekly Teddy Bear Club Meetings.

The St Mary's Teddy Bear Club is for pre school children and their carers. We meet during term time at the church.

Join us for our annual Christingle Service. This is a service suitable for families and raises money for the Children's Society. The collection from the service will go to the this charity who help children who lead challenging lives.

The Christingle itself is an orange, signifying the world, wrapped with a red ribbon, signifying the blood of Christ, four cocktail sticks with fruit/sweets on them signify the seasons and a candle in the orange, is the light of Christ.

Each person is given a Christingle and we sing carols. As it gets dark the candles are lit.

It is a moving and popular Christmas event.

Join us for this popular Carol concert and sing your favourite carols. A great way to start Christmas!

Tickets are £10 each and includes mulled wine and mince pies.

This popular Christmas custom is a jubilant celebration of the service of worship in honour of the Nativity of Jesus, which includes the celebration of Holy Communion.

This is the first Communion of Christmas.

This service contains carols and a short talk, as well as the celebration of Holy Communion (the blessing and sharing of bread and wine).
