St. Thomas, Hullbridge

St. Thomas of Canterbury is a modern Church with a friendly, intimate atmosphere and an adjoining hall for community use.

We meet for worship every Sunday at 9.15 a.m. This is usually the Parish Eucharist, but on the third Sunday each month we have a more informal Morning Worship.

Sometimes we have Breakfast Church which is a simpler service and it starts with bacon, sausage or croissant. If you want to know more about us, this is a great service to try. See you there!

We also have occasional Parade Services when Scout and Guide groups join us and take part in the services. These are usually on special occasions like Mothering Sunday, Harvest and Remembrance.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Hullbridge: St Thomas of Canterbury is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Chelmsford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO [email: [email protected]] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [www.chelmsford.anglican.org/safeguarding-landing]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
