In remembrance of the airmen who gave their lives while flying from Matching Airfield in 1944 and in Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of VE Day - this service will take place from 10am-11am in the former Base Hospital adjacent to the Airfield Memorial, Anchor Lane, CM5 0JR*, with thanks to the Rowe family the service will be followed by: Talk on the History of the Airfield by Mark Ratcliff, Display of historic Photographs, Videos and WWII vehicles Airfield Tours Food and Bar Tent (please bring cash for hospitality).
