St George's, Heybridge Basin
With our excellent community room and rustic worship space, St George's provides hospitality and festivity as well as a space for heartfelt worship for the waterside community of Heybridge Basin. We meet weekly for a time of morning prayer or communion, and reflect together on God's goodness in our midst, whatever is happening to us or our neighbours. As well as pub and waterside services, we also run a monthly coffee morning for those feeling isolated or simply sociable and work with local partners, including The Friends of St George's and Row 4 A Reason, to support local and Developing World causes. St George's is also part of the HeyMaldon family of churches, and Churches Together in Maldon, so we share in bringing good news to in our local area.

Saint Lucy's Multi-Sensory Church
Not every child wants noise and bustle. But every child needs spiritual education that is an experience, not just a school lesson. St Lucy's was a growing Christian community linked to St Andrew's Heybridge that was especially accessible to those with additional needs. Our adventure started in June 2019, when we met monthly to encounter God's love and depth in Heybridge Community School. 'Godly Play' allowed all ages to explore scripture together alongside a variety of multi-sensory methods for prayer, worship and discovery. Covid and the loss of three key leaders through tragic illness paused this project... but perhaps you'd be interested in helping us get it going again? We'd love to hear from you.
