Welcome to St Mary’s, Hatfield Broad Oak, a big church in a little village. Our church is usually unlocked and open to visitors in daylight hours.
We are part of the Diocese of Chelmsford.

The church is all that remains of a medieval priory, suppressed by King Henry VIII. This church has been a centre for Christian worship, mission and compassion for over 850years, and is still at the centre of village life today. We welcome children and adults to all our services. Vicar: Rev Dawn Jewson is our Priest in Charge and is licensed across all of the Churches of the Six Villages of Hatfield Broad Oak, Bush End, Hatfield Heath, Sheering and Great & Little Hallingbury.
