Great Oakley: All Saints

All Saints is the Anglican parish church in the rural village of Great Oakley in north Essex.

The Grade 1 listed building has a nave dating from the 12th Century and a wooden-topped bell chamber dating from the 18th Century.

It is not only a picturesque and historic place in which the local community gathers, worships and prays for God’s world, but a hub through which the wider community is supported in good times and in bad.

Our church is open to visitors every day of the year from around 9am until about 5pm or dusk if earlier.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Great Oakley: All Saints is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Chelmsford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO.
If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO (details below) or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (see link below).

Our Parish Safeguarding Officer can be contacted at [email protected]

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
