Our next Community Lecture will be on Wednesday 9th October at 8pm on the theme of ‘After the riots - community responses and how hardship harms us all’.
After the recent spate of racist riots, we are looking to create space for a conversation on how we respond as a diverse and open community here in Westcombe Park.
The speaker is Laurence Smith, the inspiring founder of a local charity, the Lewisham Donation Hub and the event will be held as a memorial lecture in memory of Tim Yeager, the much-loved late vicar at St George’s who campaigned successfully for the local authority to welcome and house refugee families locally.
