Service of Nine Lessons and Carols, is a service of worship telling the story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus in nine short Bible readings or lessons from Genesis, the prophetic books and the Gospels, interspersed with the singing of Christmas carols, hymns and choir anthems.

Epping: St John the Baptist

St John's Church is an active parish church with a congregation mostly drawn from the town of Epping and representing and including a wide cross-section of the community and different ways of expressing faith. We work with all the local schools, including the local church secondary school and have several different children's groups for different ages, including a mid-week pre-school age group. We have good community links, acting as a concert venue. We hold an annual Christmas Tree Festival as well as other events through the year.
