St Nicholas Church is very much a local parish church serving the Elm Park community. The congregation are mostly Elm Park residents and there is a strong feeling of a friendly, worshipping, church community. Church members are keen for St Nicholas to be a place of holy worship, open and welcoming to all. People are encouraged to join in differing areas of church life; in worship, serving, charity work, teaching, refreshments, and much more. Baptisms either Child or Adult welcomed along with Weddings.

Sunday 9.30am Holy Communion service held every week, the third Sunday service incorporates the Parade service for the Guides & Brownies, the fifth Sunday incoporates a Healing Blessing.
The church building has a light, welcoming atmosphere. Built in the 1950's but with an 'arts & crafts' feel about the design, with a beautiful use of arches and windows. We have excellent facilities, with easy access, good amplification system, church furniture which can be rearranged for concerts etc. The church hall was built in 1994 and again has excellent facilities. 
There are many organisations associated with the church which include; scouts, guides, womens groups, Mothers Union, Playgroup. There are also many groups that use the hall.
