St John's East Dulwich

Welcome! St John’s is a warm, welcoming and inclusive church at the heart of East Dulwich, a church community made up of people of all ages and backgrounds. St John's is part of the Church of England, in the Diocese of Southwark. You are very welcome to join us at any of our services, just turn up!

Our Sunday services are a Said Eucharist at 8am, and a Sung Eucharist at 10am with robed choir. The 10am Mass is live streamed on Zoom and YouTube. We say morning prayer on Wednesdays at 9am. In term-time we hold a Said Eucharist on Thursdays at 12noon. Once a month we hold our hugely enjoyable “Messy Church” service, on Sundays from 3.45/4pm to 5pm. Messy Church is for all ages; services include fun activities, a Bible story, music, a chance to meet people young and old, and we finish with Sunday tea. Remaining dates for 2024 are: 8 September, 13 October, 17 November, 8 December. All are welcome!

Safeguarding

The parish of St John's East Dulwich is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officers, PSOs. The Diocese of Southwark’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
