About Us
St Mary's Debden dates from the 13th century and is located in a beautiful valley about a quarter of a mile from the centre of the village.
The Church boasts a number of interesting features, among which is a Codestone Font and a 14th century iron clad chest.
Leaflets providing more information about its history and artifacts are available in the church.
Our worship is typical of many Church of England rural villages, mainly following Common Worship liturgy with hymns and organ. Family Services and some Festival Celebrations are more informal with more contemporary music and activities included in the worship.
We alternate our services with All Saints Church at Wimbish. You will find details of that church and services there by visiting https://www.achurchnearyou.com/church/19645/
We look forward to your visiting us to enjoy the surroundings and serenity of this lovely building.
