About Us

St James and St Johns ( JJ's) is a warm, welcoming, friendly across generations church community on the northern edge of Romford. We serve the Hill Rise and Rise Park estates and the village of Havering-atte-Bower. We are relaxed, informal and lively as we worship our God in 'Spirit and in Truth'.

We have two church centres. St John's is a beautiful Victorian Gothic building next to Havering-atte-Bower village green.

 Sunday Worship at St John's is on the 2nd, 4th and on occasions the 5th Sundays of the month at 10am. On 1st Sundays of the month we have an 8am Holy Communion Service 

But church isn't just about Sundays!

Amongst other things at St John's we have Prayer Time on a Monday morning at 9.30am and Common Worship Evening Prayer at 6pm on Wednesdays. We
