Our church had been beautifully decorated by our flower ladies with Crafty Church decorating the Christmas tree. The candles were all lit, heaters on and Gluhwein gently warming in the urn. Our congregation started to arrive, some in biblical costume, some just dressed up warmly. Our readers read beautifully (thank you to them all) and everyone  sang the carols beautifully. The children came up to sing ‘Away in a Manger’ round our new manger with some of the adults. A fantastic start to our Christmas celebrations. Many stayed behind for a cup of Gluhwein  and a chat. 83 adults and 19 children had just about filled the church and the children roaring up and down the aisle  during the service was great  giving a relaxed family occasion.
