Every Friday at St James's Church Hall, Tower Road or Wednesday at St Christopher's, Meadow Way Jaywick. Its free to attend. Our playgroup is open to all parents and carers and their little ones. Tea and coffee are available. The session concludes with a snack, story and children's singing.

Open to all children aged 7 and above. Please don't be shy in coming forward, we'd love to meet you! We meet each Friday during term time in the church for lots of singing, some musical games and to learn a little about reading music. Singing together is great fun, do come along. Carols by Candlelight

A traditional service of carols and readings by candlelight. There will be plenty of familiar carols for everyone to join in with, plus a few which are sung by our church choir. Members of Clacton Choral Society will be joining us this year for this special event. There will be seasonal refreshments served after the service.

Christingle

The Christingle service is a time to share the light of Jesus and spread hope. It is named after the Christingles, which are oranges decorated with a red ribbon, dried fruit or sweets, and a candle. During the service, children will have a Christingle and the candles are all lit to create a warm, magical glow symbolising the light of Christ and bringing hope to people living in darkness.

Midnight Mass

This late-night service starts late on Christmas Eve and will end after midnight, so you're among the first to celebrate Christmas! The service will contain carols and a short talk, as well as the celebration of Holy Communion (the blessing and sharing of bread and wine). Everyone is very welcome to come!
