A service full of traditional music, led my Rev Susan Wiggins, with beautiful settings of the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis and a special anthem by David Wood, using the traditional words of Ave Verum Corpus. The service will last around 30 minutes and tea and home made cakes will be served afterwards.

All are welcome to this sung service of Holy Communion as we begin our remembrance of Jesus passion, death and resurrection.

The Stations of the Cross or the Way of the Cross, also known as the Way of Sorrows or the Via Crucis, are a series of images depicting Jesus Christ on the day of his crucifixion and accompanying prayers.

The service of the Lord’s Passion is composed of three parts: (1) the Liturgy of the Word; (2) the Veneration of the Cross; and (3) distribution of Holy Communion from the Hosts that had been previously consecrated.

Easter Vigil also called the Paschal Vigil is a liturgy held in traditional Christian churches celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

On Easter Sunday, churches across England will celebrate because Jesus died for our sins and then rose again. Everyone is welcome to join us for a special service of Holy Communion.
